Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen held a star-studded party to celebrate turning 21. The twins, who reached the milestone last Wednesday, were joined by celebrities including Joaquin Phoenix, Olivier Martinez and Kirsten Dunst to dance to retro tunes, including Blondie and The Kinks last Friday. Ashley made an emotional speech, saying: "I would like to thank everyone who came out tonight to celebrate with me. I hope we will have many more happy memories this next year. "Mary-Kate - no one could understand me the way you do. Nobody could relate to me the way you do. In fact no one could even tolerate me the way you do!" A source told Us Weekly magazine: "It was really heartfelt but a great time. Everyone danced all night." Mary-Kate spent much of the night making out with boyfriend Max Snow the pair later jumped into the pool fully clothed. The girls closed the street in front of their house and hired a special security team to deter any gatecrashers. On their actual birthday two days earlier, Mary-Kate and Ashley shared an intimate dinner with family and friends at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, where guests included their younger sister Lizzie, 19, and 23-year-old brother Trent.
