Steve Wilkos, the highly recognizable former U.S. Marine, Chicago police officer and popular TV veteran, is the host of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's upcoming new daily series, "The Steve Wilkos Show." With over 14 years of experience in daytime television, Wilkos is now front-and-center in his new nationally syndicated series, sticking up for people and doling out his own version of justice.Drawing on experience from his days in the military and in law enforcement, Wilkos takes the 'protect and serve' approach to his daily show, responding to the problems of his guests as he would respond to a 911 call. During each episode, Wilkos, a father of two, will use his tough love approach with guests, finding the fastest and best resolution possible for issues such as domestic violence, drug abuse, teen pregnancy and gang affiliation. Wilkos brings street credibility to families in crisis that are looking for straight talk and understanding from a no-nonsense host."Many of the guests who come on my show are facing serious problems and are crying out for help from someone who has their best interests at heart," says the 6-foot-3 Wilkos. "I believe the morale code I was taught during my Marine training, the street smarts I picked up as a police officer, and the patience and compassion I have developed from becoming a father, has prepared me to help my guests get through the hard times they are facing.""Steve is the perfect person for this job. After 14 years of having a front row seat, watching and listening to people's problems, it is now his turn to try and fix them," says Executive Producer Richard Dominick. "If you are rich and need help, you can call a lawyer or a doctor. For ordinary people, when they have a problem, they call the police and now they can call Steve. America needs a hero and now they have one."Wilkos’ popularity skyrocketed several years ago when "The Jerry Springer Show" began running "Steve to the Rescue" episodes, and for the last two seasons, Wilkos filled in as host for Springer on a regular basis, bringing his unique style to dealing with the guests and their individual dilemmas.A native of Chicago, Wilkos served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps before joining the Chicago Police Department. For almost 12 years, he kept the streets of Chicago’s volatile 14th District (Shakespeare) safe, while moonlighting during his off hours on 'Springer.' Wilkos retired from the police force in 2001 and now devotes himself full time to his family and his new show. "The Steve Wilkos Show" is taped in front of a live studio audience at WMAQ-TV Chicago. Richard Dominick, who is also executive producer of “The Jerry Springer Show” and “The Springer Hustle” on VH1, will also serve as executive producer on "The Steve Wilkos Show." The show is distributed in national syndication by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

I was initially excited to hear Steve would host his own talk show, but now I realize there is no TALKING involved at all!!
Steve is a BULLY that screams at guests (seemingly SMALLER in size than he is) on the show, he's also a HYPOCRITE for using the same "swearing" he urged former Springer guests NOT to use, in order to get a simple point across.
How are drug addicts, batterers, and other so called "guests" expected to respond to someone that SHOUTS and THREATENS them on national television???
Tossing chairs and intimidation is no way to reach out to people that request Steve's "HELP" in changing their lives!! What an asshole... I'm very disappointed.
I predict the show will be CANCELLED before the new television season.
I love the show he has made a differance in many peoples lives.I understand that he is mean some times or loud but who would listen if he wasnt. The people that come on his show desserve to be yelled at.I have tried to help people in similar possitions but i can never get to them because im so nice so it never sticks. So sreve if you read this keep on makeing a differance in peoples lives.I love You.Fight for what you know is right.
He is a good guy, and very funny,,,Love working with him !
I watch your show every day you are the best i think you should kick more ass they deserve it keep up the good work
The man is absolutely disgusting and a complete bully. I initially enjoyed the show but I have had enough. He's gone off his rocker and his level of thuggish tirades has risen astronomically over the past few months. He's a psychopath.
Who cares about his trailer trash guests, whether or not they have drug problems or beat their wives or what not. The fact of the matter is, no matter how much you yell at them or beat them to a living pulp, they will not change EVER! Its genetic, in their (The guests) blood and they are a cancer to the society of good, upright, and financially responsible. Yelling at them does not work, they should all be gassed and exterminated beginning with their offspring so that they cannot contaminate the rest of the world with deficient genetics. Have Steve bring these genetic misfits to an open field somewhere, one project building and trailer park at a time and film them being mowed down by a sherman tank, there's a show I'd be happy to tune into.
