'Mind Freak' Criss Angel

Criss Angel has denied he enjoyed a night of passion with Britney Spears. The 'Mind Freak' illusionist claims he is helping Britney prepare for her appearance at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, and says their relationship is purely professional. He told People magazine: "It's amazing what people think. We're not together. Her manager is my manager, and I'm helping her with one of her shows. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV." Last week, it was reported the pair spent the night together in the Sunset Hotel after meeting in West Hollywood restaurant Cravings. Criss admits the pair did have dinner together, but insists they weren't alone. Criss said: "Yes, I'm in the area working on some stuff and we went to that restaurant with 10 people. "We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the awards show, and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative. "It's amazing how you can't do anything now without people making up stuff." Britney has been in talks to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on September 9, but it is yet to be confirmed whether she will appear.
