STING'S WIFE COMES TO THE RESCUE

Trudie Styler, wife of rock star Sting,is backing a controversial campaign to allow a terminally ill immigrant back into the United Kingdom to continue her cancer treatment, according to reports.Styler has reportedly donated $20,000 to an appeal fund, fighting to allow Ama Sumani to return from Ghana for her medical treatment. Sumani was being treated for malignant myeloma at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff when she was deported last month, because her visa expired. So far, $60,000 has been raised to cover Sumani’s medical treatment in Ghana and application costs for her return to the U.K. Janet Symmonds, the campaign’s organizer, confirmed Styler has pledged her support, but refused to say if she had donated any money to the cause.
