Diddy Gets His Star

Rap icon and music king Sean "Diddy" Combs has taken over Hollywood's top trade paper, The Daily Variety, with 17 full-page ads congratulating the hip-hop mogul on his Hollywood Walk of Fame star honor. Diddy unveiled his star right in front of Los Angeles California landmark Mann's Chinese Theatre the other day. As well as the 17 ads, from the likes of MTV, BET Networks and fellow mogul Antonio "LA" Reid, there are also personal paid-for tributes from Aretha Franklin, who calls the Walk of Fame honor, "A Star for a superstar," and super producer Dallas Austin.Variety itself pays tribute to Diddy with a seven-page spread honoring all aspects of the music businessman's life. Diddy also claims the front and back covers of Friday's Variety.
