GLENN CLOSE STARTS NEW DOG WEBSITE

Icon Glenn Close

Hollywood star Glenn Close has started a new website, hoping to create an open forum for dog owners and raise awareness about animal rescue missions around the world. The movie icon, who set up the website FetchDog.com with husband David Shaw, appeared on the television show The View yesterday, with her two terrier dogs in tow, championing her lifelong passion for pups.
She says, "One of the things we’re having a lot of fun with is this website that my husband David Shaw and a great team of people up in Maine started. "We wanted to establish a place that’s the one place to go for anything you want to know about dogs. There are wonderful things you can buy for your dogs, but also if you want to rescue a dog, if you want to adopt a dog, if you want to find the right breed for you and your lifestyle… We’ve established a great community." Close also contributes regularly to the website with a column she calls Lively Licks: Portraits of Dogs and Their People, and has interviewed celebrities including Ted Danson and Debra Messing for the site.
