Celine Dion came in second, taking $94 million on her first U.S. tour since her five-year residency in Las Vegas, and The Eagles took third place, with more than $73 million for their series of dates. Country singer Kenny Chesney, with $72 million, and Bon Jovi, with $70 million, rounded out the top five highest-grossing tours of the U.S. in 2008.

BJORK FIGHTS FOR ICELANDIC ECONOMY

Icelandic pop star Bjork has teamed up with finance chiefs in a hope to save her homeland's bad economy. The singer has given her backing to Reykjavik-based Audur Capital's drive to encourage investors to inject capital into businesses in her homeland. And her involvement has already boosted the fund. It is expected to attract more than $16 million by the end of March. Audur's chief executive, Kristin Petursdottir, says: "We believe there are some interesting investment opportunities related to our nature and green energy. We need to pursue these investments even in the current crisis because that's really our future and we need to do things differently than how we have done in the past. We want economic return but in a sustainable matter."

SOCIALITE PARIS HILTON MAY KNOW ROBBER

Socialite Paris Hilton is fearing she may know the man who robbed her California mansion, because the thief knew the exact locations of her most precious gems. The intruder is believed to have forced his way through the front door of the property in Sherman Oaks, California before ransacking the former reality stars bedroom and making off with an estimated $2 million worth of jewelry. And after reviewing her home surveillance footage, Hilton has come to the conclusion that it was not a stranger who committed the horrible crime. She tells E! News, "I think whoever did this definitely has been there before. We have some suspects that I'm thinking of." But the star is convinced authorities will soon put the culprit behind bars. She adds: "You know, it's just an invasion of privacy and it's happened to me before. It's really scary but they're doing a huge investigation on this and we're going to catch this person."

JOHN MAYER'S HOLIDAY CONCERT FOR KIDS

Pop singer John Mayer played a private concert at a children's hospital in New York City.John performed at the 95.5 WPLJ-FM's 17th Annual Holiday Concert at Blythedale Children's Hospital on Monday. Mayer joined Matchbox Twenty star Rob Thomas onstage for a rendition of Ben E. King's classic track "Stand by Me." The singer stayed to sign autographs for ill kids at the event, which raised an estimated $250,000 for the hospital.

KIRSTEN DUNST GETS RESTRAINING ORDER

Hollywood star Kirsten Dunst has been awarded a permanent restraining order against an intruder found at her mansion last month. Dunst won the court protection from trespasser Christopher Smith and was granted a temporary order last month following his arrest.In court papers, Dunst claims Smith was found on her property after her assistant informed him that Kirsten was not home via the security intercom at the front gate. He later knocked on her front door and attempted to gain access to the residence. Dunst wasn't home when he was apprehended and escorted off the property. At a hearing yesterday, Smith, 25, was ordered by Los Angeles California Superior Court Judge Richard E. Rico to stay away from the star, her personal assistant and any place they may be working.

CALVIN KLEIN TO TEAR DOWN NY MANSION

Fashion king Calvin Klein will destroy his $30 million dollar New York Long Island estate to replace it with a more modern structure less than half its size.The designing icon submitted an application this week to tear down his Southampton mansion known as Dragon's Head. The 50,000-square-foot castle-like residence was built in 1926, but Klein has been riddled with complaints about the sprawling structure since purchasing the property in 2003. According to the New York Post, the designer will replace the building with a 17,500 square foot glass and concrete compound and has enlisted celebrity hotelier Ian Schrager to help him redesign it with a more modern flair. In a letter to the Southampton Village Board of Historic Preservation and Architectural Review, Schrager writes: "We are delighted by the proposed demolition of our over-scaled and garish neighbor." So much for Hampton's history !

A spokesperson for singing star Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are putting to rest the rumors that the stars marriage is on the rocks. Jennifer sparked reports of a rocky patch with Anthony after she was photographed without her wedding ring at the Los Angeles California premiere of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last week. The couple, parents to ten-month-old twins Max and Emme, then stepped out with their wedding bands for a romantic date in New York City last Tuesday in a bid to quash all the doubt marriage. And now a representative has released a statement explaining the pair is still very much together and "doing great." The spokesperson says, "(These) are fabricated stories. He had a boys' night out. She had a girls' night out. There is nothing wrong with that."

Music icon Jermaine Dupri is slamming media reports that he has split from Janet Jackson. The happy couple have been an item for four years, and was only recently rumored to be planning to marry and start a family together. Hollywood star Macaulay Culkin and his siblings are "absolutely heartbroken" following the death of their sister Dakota, and are struggling to come to terms with the horrible tragedy. The 29-year-old stepped in front of a car in West Los Angeles California last week, and suffered a massive head trauma. She died the next day. And the actor and his other brothers and sister are still reeling from the accident. Emily Gerson Saines, who manages the star, and brothers, Rory and Kieran, who are also actors, tells People.com, "They're heartbroken. That I can tell you. They're just absolutely heartbroken." The three Culkin brothers, who were working on forthcoming projects when they heard of the tragedy, have put their work on hold temporarily to deal with the death of their sister.

PAUL ANKA DENIES DIVORCE REPORTS

Paul Anka is denying that he is going to divorce his wife of less than a year following her recent arrest for felony domestic battery. Anna Yeager, who wed the aging star this summer, was detained by police on November 28th after she allegedly threw a piece of ice at her husband's head during a heated fight. Anka needed medical attention following the incident and Yeager was booked for domestic battery. No charges were subsequently filed.The icon now claims the spat was "just a little fight" and insists they have not broken up. He tells New York gossip column Page Six, "We have no problems. We had a little fight. There's no divorce, we're getting along, making love, we're singing, were happily planning Christmas."And the 67-year-old admits he is now able to laugh about the incident, adding: "She has very good aim, I think."The couple, which met when Swedish-born Yeager became Anka's personal trainer, has been together for four years. They have a 3-year-old son, Ethan.

KANYE WEST WANTS TO MOVE TO LONDON

Singer Kanye West is planning to move to London to pursue his love of fashion, according to a new media report. The rapper is reportedly set to move to the British capital to take on an apprenticeship at a design house to learn the basics of his favorite craft. Kanye, who is currently designing his own line called Pastelle, is said to be applying to train at leading fashion firms across Europe, including Louis Vuitton's headquarters in London England. West says, "I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal and just rap on the weekends or something." A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "He's applying at Louis Vuitton, Raf Simmons and others. "Everyone is surprised at just how seriously Kanye is taking his fashion dream. He is always in the front rows during the Paris and Milan fashion weeks. He absolutely loves London and wants to absorb the fashion over here."

A representative for Walsh has since confirmed the couple's split: "Papers have been filed to amicably end the marriage of executive Alex Young, and actress Kate Walsh. The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time."

"People who judge pregnant women's weight need to get a life."

And although Allen is admitting she won't be able to keep up her good behavior forever, she is happy to stay away from the London party circuit right now because she fears becoming known as another drunk celebrity. She says, "I've become a character in a comic ... and that character is always drunk! I wish my comic character wasn't that. "(I have been sober) since September 22nd. I have no intention of taking drugs again at the moment. But I can't say 'Never again', because I don't know where I'll be in 10 years' time. The actor died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in the three-bedroom SoHo loft in January.The property was officially re-listed on the rental market at a staggering $26,000 per month in late July, but agents have been unable to find an interested occupant.And now a source at luxury real estate firm Corcoran Group tells New York gossip column Page Six the residence is "temporarily off the market."

Producers of hit Television show "Gossip Girl" want to film a spin-off of the hit show. The series, which charts the lives of privileged teens in New York City has been a huge hit and made stars of Chace Crawford and his fellow actors. And Dawn Ostroff, president of CW entertainment, admits the network is now in discussions with "Gossip Girl" producers about commissioning a new spin-off show. She tells Hollywood Reporter, "Nothing really tangible yet, but we're talking about it. If it's the right idea, we'd all embrace it and be enthusiastic. "But nobody more than (executive producers) Josh (Schwartz) and Stephanie (Savage) want to make sure there's the right idea that they can wrap their arms around and really be excited about."

JENNIFER HUDSONS JEALOUS EX. IN LAW

Singing star Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law killed three members of the Oscar winner's family because he was jealous about his ex-wife's new budding romance, according to prosecutors trying to jail him. William Balfour has been charged with the October slaying of Hudson's mother, brother and nephew. Lawyers representing the family feel sure they have a motive.In a hearing on Wednesday, during which Balfour was denied bail, a Cook County prosecutor told a Chicago court that the accused confronted Hudson's sister, Julia, over her new romance before going on his killing spree. Hudson's mother and brother were found dead at their home and the body of the singer/actress' 7-year-old nephew was found in an abandoned SUV three days later. Balfour has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, and had reportedly confessed to the crimes, according to Chicago police.

Sexy superstar Brad Pitt is urging reporters to stop asking him about his family life, because talking about it "cheapens" his relationship with partner Angelina Jolie and their six children. And though he is admitting to understanding the fascination, Pitt insists there's no way his fans can get a real grasp on his life at home. In an interview on "Today" he says, "I just feel bad about it when I (talk about them). There's no way to give it true validity and weight in what it means to you in your life, and it seems to get cheapened somehow as it goes through the filters and the airwaves. Some things you just want to keep close to the chest."But Pitt couldn't keep the lid on how proud he is of his family, because he sees "what a difference it can make" raising children from such diverse backgrounds. He added, "I will say this: I'm really proud of this family. I look at my sons and my daughters -- one's from Vietnam and one's from Cambodia, and one's from Ethiopia ... and they're brothers and sisters, man. They're fighting and laughing and they're going into hysterics and they're staying up late and they're messing with their parents and they're driving me crazy."I feel rich being around them. It's a rich home and each one of them offers so much to the mix."
Echoing Jolie's statements earlier this year about the couple's plans to wed, he added, "If we feel it's important to our kids we will do so."
