The book also includes allegations from Jackie Hatten - described as a close friend of Anna Nicole's - that she once caught Birkhead and Stern engaged in an oral sex act. Hatten is quoted in the book as saying: "Their bodies were intermingled. It was obvious what was happening." The book claims Anna Nicole knew Birkhead and Stern were gay but her obsession with late Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe made her choose Birkhead as her lover because she wanted a blonde, blue-eyed baby. Cosby also accuses both men of supplying the former stripper with a cocktail of prescription drugs. Anne Nicole died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in February. Both men vehemently deny the allegations. Birkhead fumed: "None of it is true. I'm gonna sue Rita Cosby for it. "If she printed that then she is really getting sued. My attorneys are going after her and that is absolutely false. And I am sure Howard and the estate and everyone else involved is going to sue her too. This is just nonsense." Stern's lawyer, Lin Wood, branded the book "false and defamatory." Wood said: "Cosby has taken the coverage to a disgusting new low for which she will be held legally accountable."

VIRGIE ARTHUR CONTINUES BATTLE

Anna Nicole Smith's mother is attempting to block her granddaughter's return to the US. The late Playboy playmate's ex-lover, Larry Birkhead - the proven biological father of Dannielynn - was granted freedom to leave the Bahamas with his seven-month-old daughter by a Nassau court on Wednesday. But Virgie Arthur has filed an appeal objecting to the judge's ruling, an unusual decision as she lives in the US and had previously argued that her daughter and her grandson Daniel should be buried near her Texas home, and not in the Bahamas. There will be a public court hearing regarding her appeal today.Dannielynn has remained in the Bahamas under the care of Howard K. Stern - Anna Nicole's lover and lawyer - since Anna Nicole died of an accidental drug overdose in Florida on February 8. Birkhead said efforts were "in the works" to obtain a passport for Dannielynn and he hoped to travel to the US "pretty soon". The 34-year-old photographer - who had been locked in a custody battle with Arthur - has been ordered to return to the Nassau court for another formal custody hearing on June 9.

Larry Birkhead has defended Anna Nicole Smith's lover Howard K. Stern. The photographer, who was locked in a paternity battle with lawyer Stern for custody of the late Playboy model's daughter Dannielynn, has revealed Stern has been a great help to him since he was revealed to be the biological father.Larry said in an interview with America's OK! magazine: "It seems unlikely,but he's been a great help. He's been with Dannielynn the last several months. He knows her likes and dislikes and things that could help me. He gives me credit when I'm doing good things and gives me tips on things I should do a little different."People blame him a lot, but Anna had her own mind too. She had a choice and we were arguing and that's what happens. I'm thankful that everyone can get along for Dannielynn. How could you not?" Stern was named as seven-month-old Dannielynn's father on her birth certificate, and tried to evade DNA tests for several months. As well as the custody battle for Dannielynn, Birkhead, Anna Nicole's mother Virgie Arthur and Stern also fought for custody of the actress' body. She has finally been laid to rest in the Bahamas. Arthur is now solely fighting Birkhead, 34, for custody of her granddaughter. He said: "It's puzzling for her to display affection to me and then for the attorneys to say she's going for custody and Larry was just a sperm donor and a one-night stand. "Then they all come and shake my hand. You've gotta scratch your head and say, 'What's going on here?' "I'm willing to listen to see what people want, but that doesn't mean I'm going to agree. I hope I don't have to fight for the baby."

"Owen Wilson is also being lined up to possibly play Anna Nicole's former love Larry Birkhead." Another biographical film entitled 'Anna Nicole' is set to start shooting next week. This project will see 26-year-old singer and 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant Willa Ford playing the blonde bombshell. There are striking similarities between Ford - who calls herself the "bad girl of pop" and Anna Nicole. They both shot to fame modelling for fashion label Guess? and were named Playboy's Playmate of the Year. The film will chart Anna Nicole's rollercoaster life from the age of 17, documenting her two marriages, her battle for her late husband J. Howard Marshall's billions and her untimely death. Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern won't challenge paternity rival Larry Birkhead for custody of the tragic model's child if the photographer is named the baby's biological father. A DNA test was carried out last month and results are expected to be released Tuesday. Sources tell TMZ.com that Stern, who has been acting as baby Dannielynn's guardian since her mother died in February, won't challenge Birkhead's custody claim if he wins the paternity battle. The source says, "If Larry Birkhead is confirmed to be Dannielynn's biological father, Howard will not challenge custody. His love for her will not change, irrespective of the results. "Howard will act in Dannielynn's best interest, because he loves her and would want a smooth transition to protect her, as she is deeply bonded to those who have been with her since birth. "Howard will do whatever is necessary to assist Larry Birkhead to defeat any effort by (Smith's estranged mother) Virgie Arthur to obtain custody of Dannielynn."
Arthur, a former police officer, is currently fighting Stern for custody of her granddaughter.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH DIARIES AUCTION

The diaries written by the late Anna Nicole Smith are hitting the auction block again -- this time in her native Texas. The two diaries, written in 1992 and 1994 by the former Playboy Playmate of the Year, reveal Smith's fears about meeting the head of Guess? jeans and her concern toward her then-husband, the Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, the Los Angeles Times said Friday. A German businessman paid more than $500,000 for the journals last month during an online auction on eBay. The diaries were consigned to Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas, which scheduled a live auction April 14-15. In one diary, Smith expresses anxiety as she prepared to meet Paul Marciano, the head of Guess?. "Please God let him love me!!," she wrote. "This could be it. (Followed by five smiley faces.)" Billionaire Marshall was ill when Smith wrote in 1994: "Sometimes he tries to smile and give me such hope, he a fighter and I believe he can make it. If Jesus (decides) to take him I (don't know) what I'll do. I love him so much."

There is a gag order in effect on all the parties involved in the case, which will keep the identity of the father confidential until the hearing.
