BRITNEY SPEARS READY FOR WORLD TOUR

Toxic singer Britney Spears has announced the very first dates for her upcoming world tour, just days after reportedly asking a Los Angeles California court to grant her permission. Since her breakdown earlier this year, the former superstar is under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie, who handles all her legal and financial affairs. And despite previously announcing plans to play a string of live dates in 2009, the star is barred from making her own business decisions and the tour was said to hang on the verdict of a judge. Spears attended a conservatorship hearing in Los Angeles last week to reportedly show the court her plans for the live dates. She is said to have told the court commissioner she feels competent to complete the work and wants permission to go ahead with the arrangements, according to TMZ. And now Spears' representatives have confirmed the first dates on her tour, announcing shows at London's O2 Arena next June.

Ghalib left the scene but returned later on when he was alerted to the cops’ interest in speaking to him. After a brief word with the authorities, the officers decided to drop the investigation and Ghalib was allowed to walk free without charges. Spears was not with him.

But Angel insists he isn’t bitter about the missed opportunity he could have had with Britney. You would see Britney and then she would split into two Britneys and then four Britneys with no boxes or covers. It would just be a visual effect using no screens. "I also thought of having her levitate over the audience. It was going to be really visual moments that were all… beautiful, artistic, elegant and, most important, unique, things MTV hasn’t seen in music. "Britney is really strong with her own ideas. And what I had planned wasn’t an easy thing to do and would have required a lot of rehearsals. "Ultimately, I told her I needed 100 per cent commitment or I wasn’t going to be able to do this. Troubled toxic star Britney Spears must attend a court hearing in Los Angeles on Monday if she wants to continue fighting for custody of her kids with ex-husband Kevin Federline, according to reports. The wild publicity driven Britney put her custody battle in jeopardy last week when she refused to hand back her two sons to Federline following a scheduled visit. Her actions sparked a three-hour stand-off with police outside her Beverly Hills home, and resulted in the singer being hospitalized at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to undergo a serious mental evaluation. Spears was being held at the hospital under Section 5150, meaning medics have reason to believe she is a danger to herself or others, and can hold her for 72 hours. On Friday, a judge awarded Federline "sole legal custody and sole physical custody" of Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, at an emergency hearing. Following the hearing, Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said, "There are no winners here… I’m not happy about any of the events that have happened." Meanwhile, Spears’ mother Lynne has asked her daughter’s fans to "just say prayers" for the troubled star.

According to the National Enquirer, Spears left her car parked in the drive-in lane of the Four Seasons’ underground car park and refused to move it or hand over the keys until she was threatened by staff. She then had to be turned away from using the hotel’s spa, prompting her to rant, "Do you know who I am. I f**king built this place. I’ve spent so much money here I could have bought the God damn hotel."

Crazy Britney Spears has denied allegations of substance abuse after testing positive in a court-ordered drug test, insisting the results only show the medication she has been prescribed by doctors. The wild pop star, 25, must undergo mandatory drug and alcohol tests as part of an earlier court order relating to her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline. But Spears has been accused of skipping eight of out 14 requests in recent weeks, and was recently chastised by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon for not making herself readily available for the tests. And there’s more bad news for Spears, after a website claimed one of her test results came back positive last week. But pals insist Spears is innocent of any illegal drug allegations. A source close to the star says, "The only thing that comes on the results are the prescriptions, that the court doctor prescribed. "There has been no illegal drugs or even alcohol in any of the test results."

Machado said: "Britney hung her wedding dress on the bedroom wall and kept framed photographs of her and Kevin together all over the house. "She would ask, 'Why did he do this to me?' It just made her crazy and depressed. She needs mental help." The 25-year-old star would break down in tears in front of her sons, two-year-old Sean Preston, and 13-month-old Jayden James, because they were a constant reminder of their absent father. Machado told Us Weekly magazine: "She wanted so badly to have the father of her babies. When Britney thought about Kevin not wanting her, she would bawl. She would look at Sean and Jayden and say, 'Where's your daddy? I need help. Where's your daddy?' " The former personal assistant also believes Kevin pushed Britney into confronting him because he needed a reason to end the marriage. Machado claimed: "The boys were with Britney when she and Kevin had their last final row. "She took them with her to confront him in New York City. She stood up for herself, and it kind of backfired. That was what he wanted."

BRITNEY SPEARS CHARGES DROPPED

Britney Spears' hit-and-run charges were dropped yesterday. The misdemeanour charge - which resulted from an incident where the 25-year-old drove into a Mercedes-Benz Station wagon in a San Fernando car park and then walked away- was dismissed by Superior Court Judge Susan Speer after Britney paid the car owner Kim Robard-Rifkin approximately $1,000 to cover the damages. However, Britney still faces a charge of driving without a valid Californian driving licence. While Britney didn't attend court herself, her lawyer Michael Flanagan entered a not guilty plea on her behalf at the Van Nuys court in California, ahead of a pre-trial hearing on November 26. Speaking outside the court, Mr. Flanagan said Assistant City Attorney Michael Amerian had already offered Britney a plea deal for the licence charge which would result in her being on probation for a year. He said: "She got a licence, she has insurance, has always had insurance. The question is - is probation really necessary?" Meanwhile, Britney is required to attend a custody hearing today. at the Los Angeles Superior Court. The 'Gimme More' singer is fighting for joint custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, two, and 13-month-old Jayden James, who were awarded to her ex-husband Kevin Federline last month.

BRITNEY SPEARS VISITATION SUSPENDED

Britney Spears has had her visitation rights with her children suspended. The troubled 25-year-old singer had been granted overnight visits with her two children - two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James - but all her visitation rights have now been removed after she couldn't be contacted by court officials who needed to arrange her next court-ordered drugs test. The order came from Los Angeles County Commissioner Judge Scott M. Gordon after Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan called an emergency court hearing on Thursday. A friend of Kevin's said he was prompted to call the hearing after Sean and Jayden returned to his house "crying and surly" after spending time with their mother. The friend told E!: "They came back to his house, and their eating schedule was off, their sleeping schedule was off, and they won't listen to him, because he knows they haven't been getting any discipline at her house. "He has to start all over, getting them settled again, calm them down and reintroduce them to their normal schedules. And it's frustrating for him. He's been tolerating this for a long time, but he thought maybe it would get better with a monitor involved. It hasn't. "He believes the only way she'll start paying attention to her responsibilities is by making her feel the consequences of shirking them. Kevin keeps saying he's genuinely scared for the children's safety." According to a friend of the singer, Britney had given the court her correct number, but because of a lack of reception in her house, the phone call couldn't be connected. After temporarily losing full custody of the children to Kevin on October 1, she was granted one overnight visit with the pair per week as long as she complied with a long list of court requirements including random drug tests, working with a parenting coach and counselling. Both Kevin and Britney will have to go to court on October 26, when the singer's parenting coach will submit a report to the judge.

BRITNEY SPEARS CHECKS INTO POLICE

Britney Spears turned herself in to police the other night. The 'Toxic' singer, dressed in a black mini-skirt and leather jacket, arrived at Los Angeles' Van Nuys County Jail at 9.25pm to face hit and run charges relating to an incident in August. A source from the Los Angeles Police Department said: "At approximately 9.25pm Miss. Britney Spears checked into the Van Nuys County Jail for a court ordered booking. "She was put through standard booking procedures which included booking photographs, fingerprinting and collection of information. "Britney was at all times co-operative in the process. She was there for approximately 45 minutes." It is not thought Britney spent any time in a holding cell, and the troubled star opted to leave the jail via the front entrance when offered a back-route exit. The 25-year-old star was filmed by paparazzi steering her car into a parked vehicle in a San Fernando Valley parking lot while driving without a valid licence, before fleeing the scene on August 6. She was charged in September with one count of hit and run and causing property damage, and one count of driving without a valid California licence. Both charges carry a maximum of six months in jail.

BRITNEY SPEARS TO GET COUNSELLING

Britney Spears must attend joint counselling sessions with ex-husband Kevin Federline to keep visitation rights to her sons. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon imposed the strict demands on the 'Toxic' singer - who lost custody of sons Sean Preston, two and one-year-old Jayden James on Monday - at Wednesday's hearing. He ruled Britney must complete "at least three individual counselling sessions" and "at least three joint counselling sessions" before the next hearing on October 26. The 25-year-old singer must take twice weekly-random drug and alcohol tests and the judge warned "a missed drug test, refusal to submit to a test, or failure to respond to the testing agency's call shall be deemed by the court as a failed test." Court documents also state "the monitor shall terminate visitation immediately if any conduct or action by Britney endangers the minor children." Kevin will keep full custody of the boys until the next court date which both he and Britney must attend. It was revealed the other day Britney's former bodyguard Tony Barretto - who gave evidence against her in the custody battle - has filed a Child Abuse Referral against her. This gives the Department of Child and Family Services the legal power to investigate the mother-of-two's care of her sons. Barretto's lawyer, Gloria Allred released a statement which said: "I call on Britney Spears to cooperate with the investigation of Children and Family Services. "As part of their investigation they will want to interview her. Rather than avoiding them she should speak with them as soon as possible and give them the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so that they can fulfil their legal mandate to protect the children and keep them safe." Meanwhile, Britney's mother Lynne Spears has finally broken her silence over her estranged daughter. She said last night: "I just want to say that I love my daughter - very much."

An Emmys insider said: "Britney is in negotiations to appear at the ceremony, but nothing is confirmed. The idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She's weighing up the offer." A source close to the 25-year-old singer told Us Weekly magazine: "I can't say this is 100 per cent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren't dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it's not going through the official channels." KEVIN FEDERLINE WANTS LEGAL FEES

Kevin Federline wants Britney Spears to pay the legal fees in their custody battle. The aspiring rapper - locked in a bitter fight for sons Sean Preston, 23-months and Jayden James, 11-months – has launched allegations of child abuse against his ex-wife and wants her to foot the bill for all legal costs involved in his action. Court documents released the other day reveal Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan believes Spears should pay $50,000 for Federline's litigation expenses as she is "clearly the monied party". Kaplan said in a court declaration on August 26 that while Spears earns an average of $737,868 a month, Federline has "no net income" after various expenses, and his monthly spousal support of $20,000 ends in November. The court documents revealed that in his bid to win primary physical custody of their sons Federline’s legal team have subpoenaed several of Spears’ former and current employees to give evidence against her. Among those already served with subpoena’s are the singer’s "designated sober companion" Dr. Betty Wyman, former nanny Christine Hallet, former assistant Shannon Funk, bodyguard Daimon Shippen and cousin Alli Sims. Spears' former manager, Larry Rudolph – who has been avoiding Federline’s lawyers in an attempt to stay out of the legal battle – was finally served with a subpoena during a visit to a Los Angeles tanning salon the other day. The ‘Toxic’ singer’s lawyer attorney Laura Wasser has asked for a continuance on the custody case to give both parties more time to "conduct and complete their discovery." A decision on this request will be made in court on September 4.

However, it is soon clear that while the mom loves her children she is not suitable to raise them, and sources claim this echoes his thoughts about Britney. A source said: "Kevin is fighting for sole custody of their sons, claiming Britney's wild lifestyle and bizarre antics make her an unfit mother. "And art will mirror life to his advantage in this TV role. The poor mom will be shown in a sympathetic light, but it will be clear why she is not allowed to care for her kids. Kevin will appear as the sexy knight in shining armour." Earlier this month, Kevin, who has two other children from a previous relationship, filed for primary custody of Sean and Jayden - just two weeks after his divorce from Britney was finalized. Judge Scott Gordon signed the decree hours after Spears and Federline’s lawyers appeared in court to settle the ongoing divorce battle. Spears’ attorney Laura Wasser made a motion to keep the custody and child support provisions secret, on grounds that making it public would be harmful to the couple’s sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Judge Gordon granted that request, pending a hearing on 14 August. But TMZ.com claims the divorce settlement will net Federline $35,000 (GBP17,500)-a-month.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ lawyer has expressed fears the troubled star could fall victim to child kidnappers, according to reports. The singer was awarded joint custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James with ex-husband Kevin Federline at a court hearing on Monday. But attorney Laura Wasser has ordered the court documents to "be sealed" as their contents could effect the kids’ safety. Wesser says, "Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain." The judge granted Wasser’s motion to withhold the documents pending a full hearing next month.

The Humane Society of the United States claims most pure bred dogs for sale in pet stores have been farmed in cruel conditions. The society insist the 'Toxic' singer shouldn't have seemingly condoned the industry by purchasing her new Yorkshire Terrier London in this way. Stephanie Shain, the society's director of outreach for companion animals, said: "Ms. Spears is setting a damaging example to the public. "Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills - factory-like facilities, churning out purebred and 'designer' puppies in large numbers. "Every time someone purchases a dog from a pet store, they risk perpetuating the horrendous business of puppy mills." Shain has invited Britney to speak with her about the inhumane trade. She added: "If she'd be willing to learn about the issues and educate other people, we'd be delighted to have her.
