James Bond star Daniel Craig is vowing to ‘throw himself’ at stunts on the new Bond action adventure movie, despite a series of car accidents and injuries on set. Filming for the latest spy thriller has been hit by several setbacks, the latest of which left a stuntman with serious head injuries after losing control of a vehicle and slamming into a wall in northern Italy last month.there was also another mishap when an Aston Martin sports car had to be fished out of Lake Garda, Italy after it skidded off a road in a rain storm and plunged into the water. But Craig, who stars in the movie as 007, insists he thrives on the physical elements of the film.He says, "I’ve been sore. I’m sore everyday. I enjoy the physical outside of filming, I always have. I’ve thrown myself into it because I get a kick out of it and I think we can do things and we can achieve things that make the plot and make the storyline move forward."It’s much better if I stay involved with the filming as much as possible."Labels: DANIEL CRAIG, GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM
Daniel Craig has vowed to "go totally nude" for the next Bond film. The hunky 39-year-old actor - who made his debut as suave spy James Bond in last year's 'Casino Royale' - insists it's only fair he appears naked when he reprises his role, because Bond girls are always expected to strip off. He said: "I'd go totally nude. I've got nothing to hide, and after all, we ask the girls to reveal almost all, so why not the men?" Daniel also revealed he felt "nervous" at the stir he caused in the now infamous 'Casino Royale' scene where he emerges from the sea in tight blue swimming trunks. He added to New! magazine: "Did I know the trunk thing would be such a big deal? Yeah. I saw it on a huge billboard in Hollywood and people were screaming. It did make me feel rather nervous." The star also branded his Bond co-star Dame Judi Dench - who plays spy boss M - "sexy as hell and a total tease".Labels: DANIEL CRAIG, GOSSIP, GOSSIP JAMES EDSTROM, JAMES BOND
Daniel Craig has been taking skiing lessons to help him prepare for the next James Bond movie. The actor - who made his debut as the suave spy in 2006's 'Casino Royale' - has taken to the slopes in preparation for the latest film, tentatively titled 'Bond 22'. A source said: "For the first time since 1969's 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', Bond will be largely snow-bound. Much of it will be filmed in the Swiss Alps. The film is in pre-production for a major ski sequence." Some of the most iconic scenes in Bond history have taken place on the piste. In 'The Spy Who Loved Me', Roger Moore used a Union flag parachute after skiing off a cliff, while Timothy Dalton careered down a mountain in a cello case for 'The Living Daylights'. Craig recently revealed he wanted to make Bond less macho and more comical. The British star - whose gritty interpretation of 007 in 'Casino Royale' was critically acclaimed - wants the next film to be inspired by former Bond star Roger Moore, who was famed for his sardonic wit. Craig said: "There are going to be more gags. The next one's going to be a lot funnier. To me Bond has never been that macho. That Bond is something that Sean Connery created in 'Dr. No'." Referring to the tongue-in-cheek names of previous films and past Bond girls, Craig added: "There will be lots of Octopussy and Pussy Galore-style gags. They're all great names - but the Bond jokes will be flipped on their heads."Labels: DANIEL CRAIG, GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM
