DANIEL RADCLIFFE WAS STALKED

Daniel Radcliffe was once stalked by a girl who called herself 'Mrs Radcliffe'. The 'Harry Potter' star says the obsessed fan followed him around New York and even tried to jump into his car when he was stopped at a set of traffic lights. Daniel revealed: "I've never had stuff from fans that's actually freaked me out. But I did have one moment you've just got to laugh at. "'Mrs Radcliffe', as she called herself, followed us around New York. I was on the publicity trail for 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' and we pulled up at traffic lights next to her car. She leant out of the window and left her legs in her car and flung herself over and tried to get into our car. "It was one of those moments where you think, 'You're really devoted, but you're a little bit scary as well'. I think she was being carted around by her dad, and you think, 'You should know better, sir!' " Radcliffe recently confessed he has been plagued by nightmares about being stalked by an England cricketer. He said: "I've dreamt I'm being stalked by an England cricketer. I don't know what prompted it - although I've been watching huge amounts of cricket - but for some reason opening batsmen Andrew Strauss was being paid to stalk me. I woke up with a cricket bat in my hand."

'HARRY POTTER' OPENS IN TOKYO

'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' had its world premiere in Tokyo last night. Daniel Radcliffe was greeted by screaming fans as he arrived on the red carpet before the first showing of his much-anticipated fifth outing as the boy wizard. Many of the fans wore fancy dress and brandished wands as they thrust posters and presents towards the 17-year-old star. Radcliffe responded to the enthusiastic crowds by announcing "Japanese fans are the best" in Japanese. He said: "It's just absolutely brilliant. Harry's an icon. He is somebody whose character has gotten his generation of kids into reading. So it's an honor to play him. "I don't see myself as having grown up on screen. I simply see myself as having grown up. So it's probably stranger for people who have watched all the films." The film features Harry's first kiss with fellow Hogwarts student Cho Chang, played by Katy Leung. Leung declared: "I'm sure everyone wants to know if he was a good kisser. He definitely was." The film will hit cinemas around the world from July 11.
