ELLEN DEGENERES FINALLY TRAPS CLOONEY

Hollywood star George Clooney has made television host Ellen DeGeneres' dreams come true. The actor finally appeared on her show. The comedienne has led a lengthy campaign to get Clooney on her program ever since she moved to the Burbank, California studios.Her techniques have included sending Kate Hudson, Dolly Parton, marching bands, sexy male strippers and hot models over to his production office. She even asked Clooney's good friend Brad Pitt for advice when he was a guest on her show last year. But Clooney was never in his office when either the comedienne or her guests called on him. DeGeneres then installed a mousetrap-style device above the door of Clooney's office, in the hopes of catching her man, and she created an alert system on her set, so she'd know whenever Clooney was in the building. The alert went off in the middle of Friday's show as Clooney's car pulled up outside. And, after taking advice from Clooney's former "E.R." co-star Noah Wyle, DeGeneres arranged for Cincinnati Reds baseball icons Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan to lure the movie star into her studio. Clooney taped his first appearance on the daytime show on Friday, and admitted he was starting to get a hard time from employees and Ellen fans for not showing up. He says, "Informing is not what I would call what my office has been doing to me. (They're) complaining. They were a little concerned when the marching band came. "People do come up to me all the time and say, 'What's wrong with you, why don't you go do Ellen's show ...?' I've been busy." The star admitted he's been keeping check on the lengths DeGeneres has been going to to get him to appear, adding: "You gotta love Dolly Parton coming in."

GEORGE CLOONEY TO VISIT HOME STATE

Hollywood star George Clooney is following in the footsteps of his relatives when he attends the Leatherheads premiere in Kentucky next Monday. The actor is going to return to Maysville in his native state for the opening of his new movie at the Washington Opera Theatre - 55 years after his aunt Rosemary Clooney’s own film, The Stars Are Singing, premiered in the town. His father Nick says, "He knows all about that, and he is very interested in kind of connecting the dots as far as family history. "He thinks that would be kind of cool for the family, and one hopes for the town, too."

George Clooney is denying rumors he is to return to the hit television show E.R.-saying the speculation about a comeback is a "Myth". One of Clooney's best roles was playing Dr. Doug Ross on the hit NBC drama for five years. He went on to star in several Hollywood movies and won an Oscar for 2005 film Syriana. But despite the Television show’s success, the award-winning actor denies any future plans to reprise his former role. He says, "That’s a myth I’m afraid."

BASEBALL DREAM FOR GEORGE CLOONEY

Hollywood star George Clooney has been given the chance to live out his dreams and spend the summer playing baseball. The award winning actor was offered a contract to play for Ohio minor league team the Dayton Dragons during a recent Television interview with top producer Peter Guber, who owns the team. The Batman producer threw Clooney a curveball on the cable show Shootout, throwing him a team hat and giving him the chance to play baseball. Guber said, "We’re ready to sign you up, anytime you’re ready." The offer isn’t as crazy as it seems - Clooney was considered a prospect for Ohio’s major league team the Cincinnati Reds when he was a teenager.

Hollywood star George Clooney is planning to take his relationship with girlfriend Sarah Larsen even further after asking her to move in with him.Clooney has occupied his Hollywood Hills home all alone since his beloved Vietnamese Pot Bellied pig Max died in 2006. But sources tell Star magazine that Clooney is very happy with the 29-year-old former waitress he has dated since last June, insisting the hunk is ready to co-habit again. A friend tells the magazine, "Sarah is always with him, so it just made sense. Plus, he likes having her around. She has made him very happy because she has a great sense of humor and doesn't stress him out. She's easygoing and loving, and I think he really needs that right now."George has been feeling lonely. Sarah has filled the void."

Superstar George Clooney enjoyed a fun filled holiday season while at college where he once stole his neighbour’s prized Christmas tree. The Ocean’s Eleven star, 46, has very fond memories of his student days, and recalls his most memorable Christmas one year, when he took revenge on his next door neighbour for terrorizing his pet dog. He says, "Our neighbour was so proud of his garden, so when my dog got into it, he shot its butt full of pellets. Fortunately the dog didn’t die."But in the middle of the neighbour’s garden was a manicured fir tree, so one Christmas Eve, I sawed it down and put it up in our house. No Christmas tree has ever meant so much to me."

Renée Zellweger feels she has been "married" to George Clooney for 28 years. The 'Cold Mountain' actress, who reportedly dated George in 2001 and again in 2006, is such close friends with the handsome actor he feels like her husband. When asked how long she has known George, Renée replied jokingly: "Oh, God. Twenty-five, 30 years." George added: "Thirty-five years!" Renée continued in an interview with W magazine: "We've been married for 28 years." To which George interrupted: "Twenty-seven. We lived together the first year. There was a lot of fighting." The 'Bridget Jones' actress jokingly claimed they shared their household chores when they lived together, saying: "I fed the dogs and pigs. I vacuumed too." Renée, who later in the interview revealed she has really been friends with George for almost 10 years, also spoke of her fears about working with him on new movie 'Leatherheads'. She said: "I didn't want to drop the ball, to be the one who sucks. "He doesn't even know how important his opinion has been to me over the years. I don't want to disappoint him. " George, who also directed 'Leatherheads', insists Renée did a great job on the movie. He said: "In movies, so often the guy gets to be the one with all the answers. In this one, she's the smart one. Which was incredible acting on her part." 'Leatherheads' is a romantic comedy set in the 20s. It follows the story of an American football team owner who sees his new coach fall for his fiancée. The movie is scheduled for release in April 2008.

GEORGE CLOONEY FINE AFTER CRASH

George Clooney was rushed to hospital after being knocked off his motorbike. The 'Syriana' actor suffered a fractured rib and burns, while his passenger, girlfriend Sarah Larson, broke her foot after the pair were hit by a car in Weehawken, New Jersey, at around 3.30pm on Friday. The couple, who were both wearing helmets, were treated at the Palisades Medical Center and released later that night. Clooney's spokesman Stan Rosenfield said: "He was treated for a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash. It is a very painful injury and is likely to take a long time to heal, but he is doing fine." Rosenfield has blamed the driver of the Mazda car involved the accident for the incident. He claims Albert Sciancaledore, 27, signalled he was turning left on a busy narrow street, but then made a sudden right turn and collided with Clooney. Rosenfield said: "The car signalled left. George was riding to the right. The driver decided to make an abrupt right turn and clipped George." Sciancaledore reportedly told police Clooney was racing to overtake cars in the right hand lane when the accident happened. Police are still investigating the crash, and the 'Ocean's Thirteen' actor could face dangerous driving charges if he was attempting to overtake the car on the right. Sergeant Sean Kelly said: "It's a he-said, she-said argument right now, but you can't pass on the right in Weehawken or anywhere in New Jersey." No summonses had been issued for Clooney or Sciancaledore at the time of writing. Clooney, 46, was with Larson during a day off from shooting his latest film 'Burn After Reading', which also stars Brad Pitt, when the crash happened.

The 'Ocean's Thirteen' co-stars admitted they would struggle to cope with the pressure young Hollywood stars face today, but said too many young actors just want to be splashed over gossip magazines. Clooney told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "We are always going to be that society that slows down to look at the car wreck on the side of the road. I think we're just in one of those places right now, and it seems to be focused on younger kids. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and people like that. "They'll get through it, but I wouldn't want to be growing up around that." Pitt added that young stars are to blame for being fame-hungry, and not focusing on more important issues. He said: "But being that is our nature, you have to focus on other, more important issues too, because those 'car wreck' tendencies can be very disruptive and aren't a good guide on how to live your life." Clooney, 46, confessed he would have probably gone off the rails if his fame had come along when he was 21, saying, "I'd be shooting crack under my eyeball". But Brad, 43, said the "younger breed seems to be groomed for it". Last month, actress Lindsay Lohan, 20, checked into rehab for the second time this year following an arrest for DUI (driving under the influence).
