JANET JACKSON'S LOVE SPEAKS ON RUMORS

Music icon Jermaine Dupri is slamming media reports that he has split from Janet Jackson. The happy couple have been an item for four years, and was only recently rumored to be planning to marry and start a family together. Reports this week claimed the couple had been arguing over the singer's recently delayed tour and as a result, Dupri had moved out of Jackson's Los Angeles California home. But Dupri has set the record straight with an online posting, an is assuring fans that the couple are still together, but insists they are not preparing for their first child. In a message "to all the Janet fans", he writes on his blog, "No she is not pregnant and yes we're still together.""It baffles me how y'all let these blog and magazines control your life's (sic)."Dupri explains: "So whenever (you) hear [bleep] about me you can come right here and get the truth."But I hear y'all and your questions. So here you have it."

JANET JACKSON DROPS RAUNCHY DANCE

Pop singer Janet Jackson has pulled a raunchy dance routine from her concert in Michigan to avoid breaking local obscenity laws.The star has a segment in her Rock Witchu tour in which she invites a male member of the audience on stage, ties him down, and pretends to grope him as her dancers cavort around stroking themselves. But she dropped the routine from her show at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit last Tuesday, because strict state laws prohibit simulating sex acts during a public performance. A spokesman for the venue says, "We explained the law, asked her not to do it, she complied. We did not ask her to cut the song. That was her call."The concert had originally been scheduled for September 27 but the singer postponed it when she was struck down with vertigo. Jackson's manager Kenneth Crear explained: "Janet did not want to disappoint her Detroit-area fans again, so we adhered to Michigan's state ordinance and trimmed the Discipline segment of the show so it would not be canceled."

Singer Janet Jackson was overcome with joy as she launched her Rock Witchu tour in Vancouver, Canada, last week, openly crying onstage during one fan-appreciation session. Janet unveiled her first tour in seven years with a series of hits fans had chosen via a phone-in message service Jackson had set up for concert requests. And she was so blown away by the huge response from her fans, who cheered and screamed throughout the first show, she was caught fighting back tears.The concert featured 36 hits from her 30 years in the business. They included a bondage and sadomasochist segment, where she was joined onstage by a nervous concertgoer.The concert also featured pre-recorded footage, which allowed Jackson to virtually duet with rapper Nelly and rocker Dave Navarro.

JANET JACKSON THINKS BABY BOOM

Janet Jackson thinks there will be a baby boom nine months after her new album is released, because her music is the ultimate aphrodisiac. The aging singer claims she is constantly confronted by fans who have conceived kids while listening to her tunes. She says, "You don’t know how many people come up to me and say, ‘This child was conceived listening to you.’ With a new LP Discipline on the way, Jackson reveals there are tracks on there that will inspire more couples to procreate: "I love the dance. I love the mid tempo stuff. I love the slow songs and the baby making songs. It still has that element to it."
