JAY-Z's new album will shock his hard-core rap fans, because Timbaland plans to feature bagpipes on the disc’s tracks. Jay-Z celebrated his 38th birthday by watching an erotic cabaret show in Paris with girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles. The couple sipped champagne as they watched a troupe of semi-naked women perform the saloon's sensual Forever Crazy Revue in the velvet and mirror adorned venue. Jay-Z's celebrations are more low-key than last year when Beyoncé reportedly splashed out $3 million for a three-day birthday extravaganza in the Caribbean. The singer charted two planes to fly 20 of the rapper's closest friends to the paradise island of St. Martin. The exclusive group - which is said to have included Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland - relaxed on a private yacht and were treated to a constant supply of champagne and luxury foods.

The rap star's new $20 million, 24,000 sq ft club has floors made of 24-karat gold and platinum, 85 plasma TVs and five VIP rooms. It is scheduled to open in December.

Rihanna - who was signed by Jay-Z to Def Jam Records - said: "Beyoncé is not the enemy. She is the competition but we get on fine. We're great." The 12th MOBO Awards - which celebrate music of black origin - take place on September 19 at London's O2 Arena. They will be hosted by Shaggy and Jamelia.
