Hollywood star Jodie Foster is hooked on the video game Guitar Hero, after challenging her kids to be the best virtual rocker. The actress admits she is a terrible musician, but is very proud she can still outplay nine year old Charles and Kit, six. She says, "Guitar Hero is big… We fight each other over it. I’m bad at it, but I’m still better than them. "I have no musical ability. I tried in my life. I tried to learn the trumpet, that wasn’t so good. The good thing about Guitar Hero is you can just (press the buttons and) go ‘blue, green, green, green, blue, green, green…’"

Jodie Foster has a raging monster inside of her. The 'Panic Room' star claims there is a different side to her calm personality which is "filled with rage and fear" and could emerge at any moment. She said: "For a while I've wanted to tell a story that, inside you, there's this stranger filled with rage and fear, and it's been there all along. And one event can bring that out. I don't one hundred percent understand why, but I'm not scared by that kind of darkness." Foster explores this idea in upcoming film 'The Brave One', in which she plays a talk show host who is savagely mugged and witnesses her fiancé's fatal beating before picking up a gun and setting out for revenge. The 44-year-old actress has previously starred in several films exploring violent and disturbing subjects - including 'Taxi Driver' and 'Silence of the Lambs' - and the 'The Brave One' director Neil Jordan also believes Foster has a dark side to her personality. He said: "I've been making movies for more than 25 years and I've never met an actor who has a dark side like Jodie - and who is so unafraid to explore it." Foster's co-star Terrence Howard admits he finds the actress' dark side intimidating. He said: "I was scared to death when I met her. In 'Taxi Driver', she was a 13-year-old who made Robert De Niro nervous. You look at her and you know she could light up a room or burn down the house." 'The Brave One' is set to be released later this month.

Jodie Foster claims motherhood can be a thankless task. The Oscar-winning actress, who is mother to adopted sons Charlie, nine, and Kit, six, has confessed she finds parenting extremely hard work.Jodie said in an interview with America's More magazine: "Every once in a while I'll have one of those days when I've feed the fish, clean 10 poops from the patio, taken the cat to the vet, sewn my son's stupid karate stars on until my fingers bleed and made sure that he has everything, and he wakes up and goes, 'Oh, what's for breakfast?' He doesn't know, and why should he? Right? "But there's absolutely no sort of acknowledgment or reward for this - except for the hope my kids will grow up to be wonderful people."
Despite her occasional frustrations, the 44-year-old star is a proud mother and loves spending as much time as she can with her kids. She said: "Charlie is reading but he'd much rather be with his friends."I like having these conversations with him where I talk about my passions and he talks about his."
The star also revealed she has no plans to have plastic surgery, despite her advancing age. Jodie said: "It's not my thing. I don't have anything against it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I'm fine with it. For me, it's really a self-image thing. Like, I'd rather have somebody go, 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose' than, 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose job.' "I'd rather have a comment about who I am than about something that identifies me as being ashamed of who I am."When asked about the ring she wears on her wedding finger, Jodie - who refuses to discuss her private life - said: "It's Tiffany, it's an eternity ring."
