Jude Law and his former fiancé Sienna Miller are set to be reunited - as lovers on the London stage. Sienna has reportedly auditioned for the part of Ophelia opposite Jude's Hamlet in Kenneth Branagh's forthcoming production of the Shakespeare tragedy at the Donmar Warehouse. The production of 'Hamlet' will also be staged at London's Wyndham Theatre, where Sienna famously broke down in tears during her performance as Celia in 'As You Like It' following her split from Jude in 2005. The pair separated after Jude, 34, confessed to having an affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright, and Sienna is reportedly worried that starring opposite her former lover could reopen old wounds. A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Sienna is concerned it will be too painful to play Jude's tragic partner on stage every night. "It will also be dangerous for them to spend so much time together because of their turbulent romantic history. "But there's no denying their chemistry and acting abilities, it would be an electric performance." Jude and Sienna briefly reunited in 2006 but could not salvage their relationship and soon separated. This year, Sienna, 25, has been linked to rap star P. Diddy and her 'A Woman of No Importance' co-star Sean Bean. Most recently she has been repeatedly spotted with 'Notting Hill' actor Rhys Ifans, sparking rumors their close friendship has blossomed into love. 'Hamlet' famously sees the Danish prince break Ophelia's heart by spurning her romantic advances. The production is due to open in May 2009.Labels: GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM, JUDE LAW, SIENNA MILLER
JUDE LAW was forced to forget everything he knew about acting to shoot new movie MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS, because director WONG KAR WAI insisted all the cast improvised. Law’s co-star in the film, singer and first-time actress Norah Jones claims she loved the experience because she had never been taught to act - but the British star admits it was tough adjusting to the Hong Kong director’s style. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, which My Blueberry Nights opened yesterday, Law said, "A lot of rules are thrown out of the window, and you feel free not knowing what is going to happen each day." My Blueberry Nights, Kar Wai’s first English-language film, chronicles the year-long journey of Jones’ character across the United States and her encounters with love and loneliness. The movie is one of 23 films in competition this year for the festival’s top prize, the Palme d’Or.Labels: GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM, JUDE LAW
