Pop singer Michael Jackson is praising Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown for their contributions to pop music. Jackson has been credited by many of today’s artists for paving the way for their own success in the business. Brown tells television show Good Morning America: "Me being able to listen to him, and be inspired by his dance and by his music, drives me to be more creative." But Jackson insists he has been equally inspired by their influence. He adds: "Some of the younger newer artists - I think Chris Brown is doing wonderful and (Justin) Timberlake. I really admire what they are doing."

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ON HIS NEW SCENT

Pop singer Justin Timberlake's new cologne with the top fragrance firm Givenchy, is the first scent he’s worn in over a decade. Timberlake recently teamed up with executives at Parfums Givenchy to come up with his own celebrity signature scent, called Play, and the new men’s fragrance was unveiled in Paris, France last month. But Timberlake admits it took quite a bit of persuasion from Givenchy bosses to get him to agree to the deal. He tells Britain’s GQ magazine, "First of all, I haven’t worn cologne in 10 years, since the days when I’d drench myself, until I realized I didn’t want to smell like something else, I wanted to smell like myself. So when Givenchy approached me, I said, ‘I gotta be honest, I don’t wear a fragrance. If you can get me to wear it, it’s gonna have to be good. If you can win over a guy who doesn’t wear fragrances, it’ll be something fresh."

Singing star Justin Timberlake was a stand-up comedian on Wednesday night when he hosted the ESPY Awards. Justin mocked his celebrity friends and poked fun at his controversial duet with singer Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl. Timberlake scored laughs with a comic performance in new movie The Love Guru - and tried out his act with a live audience at the event, picking on audience member Jessica Simpson and her football boyfriend Tony Romo. After giving them the nicknames RoJo and Tessica, Timberlake then recalled his infamous "wardrobe malfunction" with the breast-flashing Jackson four years ago. He told the audience, "I wanted to be the only guy at a football game to get to second base." Timberlake’s on-stage antics can be seen when the awards show is aired on Sunday.

Sexy singing star Justin Timberlake has teamed up with MTV networks to produce a new reality show. The hitmaker will serve as an executive producer on a game show called The Phone which is due to air next fall. The program will feature contestants following instructions on a cellphone and completing a mission to win a cash prize, with MTV comparing the format to a weekly "action-packed mini movie".

Pop singer Justin Timberlake has agreed to meet up with his ex-toxic girlfriend Britney Spears at a family barbecue this summer, according to a new report. Spears’ father Jamie has reportedly reached out to the hit singer in the hope that the reunion will further aid his daughter’s recovery from her mental illness issues, which resulted in her being hospitalized twice this year. Insiders tell America’s Life & Style magazine that Jamie has set up a meeting between his daughter and Timberlake at a future summer barbecue.The source says, "Jamie reached out to Justin and asked if he’d be willing to come over to Britney’s house to talk to her face-to-face, and Justin said yes."Jamie’s hoping that by finally seeing him, she’ll be able to get some real closure, some resolution. He thinks that might be a huge help to her." The news comes just a month after Timberlake poked fun at his childhood sweetheart while inducting Madonna into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. He joked, "There have been a lot of wannabes, I may have even dated a couple of them." Timberlake and Spears dated for four years from 1998 to 2002.

Award winning singer Justin Timberlake has hired a top barbecue chef to help him combat the mixed reviews his New York restaurant has received. Cook Ray ‘Dr. BBQ’ Lampe has been brought in to redo the menu at Timberlake’s Southern Hospitality, after some restaurant critics were left less than impressed at the food. One writer at website NYMag.com even described the food there as "awful". And Lampe is determined to start with the diner’s ribs and work his way up: "We want them to be competition-style (ribs), where when you take a bite the meat comes off easy, but doesn’t just slide off the bone. I don’t think the guys that were in charge before really got that." Timberlake and his best friends Eytan Sugarman and Trace Ayala launched Southern Hospitality in last July.

Justin Timberlake has publicly distanced himself from ex-lover Britney Spears. The 'SexyBack' singer - who dated his former Mickey Mouse Club co-star for four years until they split in 2002 - claims he doesn't recognise his first love anymore. Justin, 26, told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey: "I don't know what's going on with her, to be honest with you. I haven't spoken to her in years. "I mean, there's no ill will - I have nothing but love for her. It's funny because we dated each other at a time - wow, I haven't talked about this in a long time. It's interesting. "We were teenagers, you know? "I think that's basically the best way to describe what happened to us. I think she's a great person, and I don't know her as well as I did." This year, Britney has seemingly imploded under the world's glare. Her worrying antics have included shaving her hair in public, drinking, partying and accused of drug taking. Despite her downfall, Justin insists underneath it all she is still a "great" person. He said: "What I do know about her is she has a huge heart, and she is a great person." The 'Black Snake Moan' star went on to reveal what he loves most about new girlfriend Jessica Biel - her smell. Justin gushed: "I'm dating someone, but all I can tell you is she smells lovely. "I get pretty romantic around her. I sing to her and when I'm on tour we talk on iChat with a webcam. "Technology is a wonderful thing sometimes. I find that to be really cool, when you can actually see someone's face. "I do it with my friends, as well, just to have a conversation back and forth. It just makes you feel closer, that's all."

Justin Timberlake's backstage demands for his latest tour include anti-wind tablets.The heartthrob singer asked for Beano anti-gas tablets to be flown over from the US as part of his rider for the London leg of his 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' tour. Justin, who says the tablets help him digest food, has also requested two dressing rooms, to be kept at a constant 22 degrees Celsius, and continuous supply of Hershey chocolate bars. Meanwhile, Justin has been accused of spitting at a fan in Sweden. The handsome star is currently in Gothenburg on the European leg of his tour and after enjoying dinner in town, he allegedly had a blazing row with a group of teenage fans. The group, who were said to be verbally abusing him, followed him back to his hotel and carried on shouting at him as he went inside. He then appeared on the balcony and started throwing objects at the group. An onlooker is quoted by Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "First a load of ping-pong balls came raining down. Then came a plastic bottle of water. After that, there was strawberries and other fruit. "And then came the phlegm."

Golf fanatic Justin - who plays off a six handicap and is a member of Los Angeles' exclusive Sherwood Country Club - is determined to fulfil his ambition before he is 30 and is practicing as much as possible. The source added: "His aim is to make it into a pro event - just for a tournament or two. He practices every day, has a coach and takes his clubs wherever he goes." Earlier this month, Justin was mobbed on a Scottish golf course as he tried to enjoy a quiet 18 holes.
