Sexy Hollywood star Kate Beckinsale is begging the producers of hit television show 24 to hand her a role alongside its star Kiefer Sutherland. The British actress is hooked on the real-time drama, and would love to play the head of the fictional Counter Terrorist Unit, and become the boss of Sutherland’s character Jack Bauer. She tells AOL movies, "I’m compulsively addicted to 24. I love that show. Just hearing the music of it makes me feel so confident … (Maybe) I can be the head of CTU."

Kate Beckinsale has likened anorexic sufferers to "crack wh**es". The 'Underworld' star, who suffered from an eating disorder when she was 15, says young girls starve themselves as a way of coping with problems at home. She was quoted in Britain's Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "I believe anorexia, alcoholism and drug abuse in teens are more about what is happening in the home than a problem with images in the media. "It is the nice girl's way of becoming a crack wh**e." The stunning actress, who has an eight-year-old daughter Lily, recently insisted too much had been made of her own eating disorder. She said: "It was a very brief moment that was made into a big deal. I find it hard to categorise myself as having been anorexic. I just had a miserable six months. "I was a nice posh girl from West London, so I probably wasn't going to become a crack addict. That's the thing you do if you're a girl who grew up in a private school."

Kate told US Glamour magazine: "This is what's sick about living in Los Angeles. My eight-year-old daughter will point to a woman and say, "Look! That woman's had too much Botox." she spots them because they all look a bit like Lord Voldemort from 'HarryPotter'. " The 'Underworld' star, who gained 20 pounds to play Hollywood beauty Ava Gardner in 'The Aviator' has also revealed the Hollywood ideal is an unachievable look. She said: "I don't think you can aspire to it, nor can I. Everybody is retouched, stretched, lengthened, slimmed and trimmed. I could look at a picture of myself from the past and think, Why don't I look like that now? It's because I never have!" Kate who is married to director Len Wiseman, recently confessed she is obsessed with breasts because she would love a large bust herself. She said: "I'm so fascinated by breasts because my mother didn't have them either. If I had them, I'd run up and down flights of stairs!"
