Sexy star Katherine Heigl has upset the staff on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" after she withdrew her name from the Emmy awards list as part of a protest about her character's development on the hit television show.Katherine insisted her name be left off the official ballot because she felt her character was awful during last season of the widely watched medical drama. But the move has disgruntled workers on the program. A source tells Entertainment Weekly, "The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material?"It's an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place."Heigl won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the Emmys last year. She has since established herself as a movie star with roles in "Knocked Up" and "27 Dresses."

Grey's Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl has pulled herself out of the list of Emmy Award contenders as part of a protest about her character’s development on the series. The television star, who won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the Emmys last year, has insisted she be left off the official ballot because she felt her character was awful during the most recent season of the show. Heigl tells website GoldDerby.com, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and (so), in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. "I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials."

Television star Katherine Heigl is dismissing reports she is going to quit the hit TV show Grey's Anatomy and is insisting her Hollywood career comes second to her role in the show. The 29-year-old made her big-screen breakthrough in Judd Apatow’s 2007 romantic comedy and has since been hailed by critics as the next Julia Roberts. It had been feared Heigl would abandon the medical drama in order to take advantage of her considerable film success, but she insists she’s looking forward to returning to her role as Dr. Isobel Stevens and won’t be leaving anytime soon.She says, "When I come back to Grey’s, I am actually really excited. After nine months a year for four years, of course you’re going to think, ‘I want to be someone else for a while.’ "I landed really good things and I did them in my breaks. It broke up the monotony of the character and I’m very, very grateful for opportunities. But Grey’s is such a good cast. Everybody is amazing."

Hollywood star Katherine Heigl plans to get "knocked up" for real this summer.The actress hopes to join the current trend of celebrity moms-to-be later this year.She tells "Access Hollywood," "I want to start in, like, July."But her new husband, Josh Kelley, isn't quite as eager.Heigl adds, "He's saying the following July. I'm thinking maybe a compromise -- sometime in December."The couple wed in Heigl's native Utah on December 23.
