KANYE WEST WANTS TO BE LEFT ALONE

Rap star Kanye West is refusing to apologize to the paparazzi in Los Angeles California over a scuffle last month and has instead requested that they leave him alone. West landed at the city's LAX airport on Friday from Hawaii, where he was putting the finishing touches to his upcoming album "808s and Heartbreak." But the hip-hop star restrained himself from repeating his actions at LAX last month, when he attacked a photographer and smashed his equipment to the ground during a struggle, all of which was caught on tape. Instead, West declined snappers' calls for an apology for the airport fracas, simply telling them: "I'm gonna ask you as a man to leave me alone."West and his assistant were arrested following the September incident and charged with felony vandalism, but the charge was later dropped by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.

KAYNE WEST MOMS DOCTOR ARRESTED

The plastic surgeon who operated on singer Kayne West's mother a day before she died has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Dr. Jan Adams was arrested by police in California early this morning. According to California Highway Patrol reports, he was driving his grey Jaguar car the wrong way up a freeway off ramp. He failed a sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, according to TMZ. The website also reports that Adams’ medical license expired at midnight on Wednesday, rendering him not "allowed to practice medicine in California". Adams was cleared of wrongdoing in the death of Donda West last year.

FIFTY CENT OUTSOLD BY KAYNE WEST

50 Cent has cancelled his European tour after being outsold by rival Kanye West. After pledging to retire from the music industry if Kanye's album 'Graduation' out sold his own 'Curtis', 50 has seemingly taken the first step by axing all his dates. He has cancelled performances at tomorrow night's Vodafone Live Music Awards and MOBO Awards (19.09.07) after Kanye won the UK leg of their chart battle on Sunday (16.09.07). A spokesman for the rapper said: "50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last-minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European promotional trip scheduled to take place from September 18 to 25." 50, real name Curtis Jackson, said before both albums were released: "If Kanye West sells more records than me, I'll no longer write music. I'll work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums." 50's MOBOs cancellation has left organisers struggling to replace him with another big name. If a last-minute replacement isn't found, Craig David's duet with Kano is expected to take centre stage at the ceremony taking place at London's O2 arena.
