The 22-year-old star - who wears a series of elaborate 18th century costumes for her new movie 'The Duchess' - has such a tiny derrière the huge bottom flounces on her traditional gowns had to be extra large meaning the actress needed more room to store them all. A source said: "Keira has one of the smallest behinds in the cast and so we had to make the flounces on the back of her gowns even bigger than normal. The smaller the bottom, the more abundant the ornamentation required. "Add to that the large hoop undergarments known as panniers which widen the gowns, and each garment takes up a huge amount of space. We needed more room to accommodate all Keira's wardrobe so had no choice but to extend her trailer." Kiera - who plays British socialite Lady Georgina Spencer who becomes the Fifth Duchess of Devonshire - was fascinated with the duchess' close friendship with Lady Elizabeth Foster, which was sometimes construed as a sexual relationship. She told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Some of the letters are like love letters. In modern ways you might say they're lesbians. But I don't think that they ever had a physical relationship. "In any case that friendship goes a little bit wrong because she f***s my husband. Lovely!"

Hollywood star Keira Knightley delayed filming on her latest movie by getting tangled up in her jewellery. The Hollywood beauty was left red-faced when production was brought to a halt on period drama 'The Duchess' after she got her bracelet "snagged" in her elaborate ball gown. An on set source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "They were filming a dance scene at the Assembly Rooms in Bath when Keira somehow managed to get her bracelet snagged in the vast folds of her dress. "She got so tangled up the director Saul Dibb had to shout 'cut'. The dancers stopped and the music trailed off as an embarrassed Keira struggled to free herself. "There was even a danger that the sky-scraper wig she was wearing would topple on the floor." In 'The Duchess', Keira plays 18th century aristocrat Georgina Cavendish, the Duchess of Devonshire - a descendant of Britain's late Princess Diana. Earlier this week, it was reported the 'Atonement' actress had been infuriating the film's cast and crew by repeatedly fluffing her lines and behaving like a 'diva'. A source said: "Keira was filming a very simple two-line scene, but she just couldn't get it right and the director finally gave up in despair. "She was very moody between takes. She squatted on the floor and stayed there sulking until she was brought a special chair." 'The Duchess' is due to hit cinemas in 2008.

I've got an abscess in my wisdom tooth, which is why I'm a bit sombre tonight, so I can't really drink, because I'm on my antibiotics."

If you want to be rich go and work on the stock market." Keira admits she struggles to cope with her celebrity status. She said: "Why would I want strangers to know me? I find it an odd concept and I don't deal with it particularly well." The 22-year-old actress also hit out at people taking too much interest in her appearance, and claims she only looks so good in photographs because they have been touched up. Keira's confession is said to be part of her plan to keep 25-year-old Rupert - who she met on the set of 'Pride and Prejudice' - eager to impress her. AMERICAN IDOL GIVES BACK TO CHARITY

Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley and Gwen Stefani are to appear on a charity version of 'American Idol'.The stars will join a host of other celebrities for 'American Idol Gives Back', a special edition of the talent show which will help impoverished African children and Hurricane Katrina victims. Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Teri Hatcher, Pink, Daniel Radcliffe and Helena Bonham Carter will also appear on the program, which will feature some stars singing and others showcasing different talents. A show insider said: "It's great that so many big stars have come forward to give their services for charity." The shows executive producer, Ken Warwick, is looking forward to seeing the high-profile celebrities perform on the show, but would not give too many details away. He said: "One thing I can guarantee is there will be humor and a few shocks. I know it will also move people to give generously."
