LANCE BASS GLAD HE LEFT DANCING SHOW

Gay singing star Lance Bass was very relieved when he was booted off of "Dancing with the Stars," because the contest "destroyed" his relationship with his boyfriend. Following in the footsteps of former bandmate Joey Fatone, Bass finished third in the series' seventh season, which was won by model Brooke Burke. But Lance admitted he struggled to juggle the series hard schedule with his personal life. He tells Usmagazine.com, "Doing this show really destroyed a relationship that I had, which just sucked. I just had no time whatsoever, so now it's time to really focus on myself. "I've learned that you can't go looking for it. It always comes and finds you."

Former ‘N SYNC star LANCE BASS is enjoying the single life since splitting with reality television star REICHEN LEHMKUHL in January. Singer Bass - who ‘came out’ as a homosexual last year - is relishing his new found independence following the break up. He says, "I’m in such a great place. I’m so happy I’m myself again… "It’s nice to be able to just date, because I had never been on a date in my life."
