NATALIE PORTMAN'S FLACK FROM HINDU

Hollywood star Natalie Portman has upset America's leading Hindus with her portrayal of an Indian princess in her ex-boyfriends Devendra Banhart's new " Carmensita Video", and they're calling for a public apology from sexy actress. Religious scholars have called the actress' role of Princess Carmensita Saplingita in the promo "denigrating" to Hinduism, claiming it "mocks Hindu concepts and symbols." Acclaimed Hindu and Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed admits he is deeply hurt by the video, which he claims simply serves to feed incorrect stereotypes of his religion. He says, "The images used in the video are revered in Hinduism and are not to be thrown around loosely for dramatic effects. "We invite Hollywood to immerse itself in Hinduism, but we ask that actors and actresses, directors and producers take our religion seriously and respectfully. "Hindus would gladly provide genuine Hollywood seekers the resources they needed for their study and research. Casual flirting sometimes results in pillaging serious spiritual doctrines and revered symbols and hurting the devotees."Zed adds, "Forgiveness is one of the main virtues of Hindu ethics. If Natalie Portman offers a sincere public apology, Hindus would not only absolve her but might also pray for her success in future ventures."

NATALIE PORTMAN HELPING THE POOR !

The ‘V for Vendetta’ actress has been working with FINCA International, an organization which gives small loans to impoverished people in developing countries, and is fully behind the project.Natalie, 25, told US TV show ‘This Week’: "I have met mothers younger than I am who were forced to work in poor conditions for low pay because that was the only job they could get.‘Getting this loan enables them to start their own business out of their own house and be with their children. It changes the whole system. ‘If a woman can’t tell her child, ‘I can feed you tomorrow, I can pay for your school’, then what happens? What do they do? What do they choose? "It’s really trying to reach the poorest of the poor and offering banking services to them.’ The ‘Star Wars’ actress is returning to the big screen this year as a blonde in ‘My Blueberry Nights’ alongside Jude Law and Rachel Weisz.

A young Natalie Portman was scared of fan letters !

Natalie Portman used to get sent disturbing letters from pedophiles. The actress played a young girl who was trained to be an assassin by an older man in 'Leon' when she was just 12. She also landed the role of an older man's object of desire in 'Beautiful Girls' at the age of 13. Natalie has revealed the two controversial roles led to her receiving sexually explicit fan mail from obsessive and disturbed men. She revealed to Film and Music magazine: "I was a pedophiles dream! It was weird, and it dictated a lot of my choices afterwards because it scared me. "When you're a little kid you get really excited about it and you think being famous is really cool. But then you get a fan letter and you read it, and you're like, 'Eeeeeeugh!' Terrified."You can imagine what they said. I obviously stopped reading them, but it made me reluctant to do sexy stuff, especially when I was young." Natalie, now 25, has vowed never to talk about her sex life. The 'Star Wars' actress wants her personal life to remain private and admits she is shocked when female stars talk about their bedroom antics. She said: "It's nobody's business. Remember there was that time when Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson were proclaiming their virginity. I was like, 'Are you kidding?' "
