Music king Simon Cowell is vowing to leave the most of his $200 million fortune to a variety of children’s and animals charities upon his death, after writing it into his will. The American Idol judge, 48, plans to donate $180 million to several different causes after he dies, dispelling the ‘Mr. Nasty’ nickname his sharp tongue on the TV talent shows has earned him. He says, "Mom asked, ‘Have you ever made a will?’ I said, ‘Thanks a lot!’ But it got me thinking." But he admits his philanthropy will mean his family and his girlfriend Terri Seymour will be left with just a fraction of his $20 million fortune to share between them. He adds, "Hopefully I’ll be a lot older when it happens, so it won’t affect them much!"Labels: GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM, SIMON COWELL

Simon Cowell's girlfriend predicts they will split up when she wants a family. Terri - who is fast becoming a household name in America after presenting reports on celebrity TV station E! - has accepted her relationship with Simon will not last, because he has already told her he never wants children. She told Britain's Hello! magazine: "I've known Simon's thoughts on marriage and babies from the beginning. He doesn't want kids, full stop. But I would definitely love to have a baby. "Not now, because I'm so busy. I love my job and wouldn't want to give up what I'm doing. But in the future, I definitely will. "Because everything is so amazing, I haven't allowed myself to think about splitting up with Simon. Maybe I will, shortly. It's not something I'm worrying about right now. Definitely in the next couple of years though, I think it will happen." Meanwhile, Terri reportedly stormed off the set of a US chat show when Simon was asked which three people he would save from a sinking ship and said himself, his mother and his fellow 'American Idol' judge Paula Abdul. An insider said: "Terri looked really crushed when he said that, and stormed out. Simon didn't realize he had said anything untoward."Labels: GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM, SIMON COWELL

Simon Cowell has denied he rolled his eyes when an 'American Idol' contestant paid tribute to the Virginia Tech massacre victims. The judge was caught on camera making a face at fellow judge Paula Abdul when contestant Chris Richardson interrupted Simon's critique of his "nasal-y" singing to pay tribute to those killed in the horrific campus shooting, in which 33 people died. Simon told 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: "We must address this crazy story that appeared that I rolled my eyes disrespectfully at Chris because he made the comment. "The truth is that I had switched off at that point. I was saying to Paula, 'What does he mean he was singing nasal-y on purpose?' I didn't understand what he was saying. "So I hadn't even heard what he'd said afterwards. And my eye rolling is what I was saying to Paula. I have never heard so much rubbish. "You know what, half of the time I can't hear what they are saying, and I don't think they can hear what I am saying." Richardson had defended his performance, before he said: "My heart and prayers go out to Virginia Tech. I have a lot of friends over there. Be strong." The camera then cut to Simon's seemingly insensitive look. The British music mogul has now commended Richardson for his comments. He said: "Chris was right to have said what he said because he is from that neck of the woods and if I would have heard what he said I would have responded properly to that. "The irony was that we discussed this before the show and wondered, 'What do you do in a situation like this when something terrible happens? Do you ignore it?' "Ryan Seacrest wanted to say something in the beginning, which I think was right. And I thought we should do something at the end to sort of close it. I wanted to say to the kids it was a difficult week for everybody." Ryan added: "Let's just be honest, no human being would be that disrespectful to anybody involved in that awful tragedy."Labels: AMERICAN IDOL, CHRIS RICHARDSON, GOSSIP, JAMES EDSTROM, SIMON COWELL
