The Redrix Broadsword is pretty meta in the crucible right now, but the procrastination means that the lifecycle of this particular weapon may simply be limited. As such, if you want to get it, it’s best to work now.

How to get the Redrix Broadsword

First, visit Shaxx at the tower and get him the quest “Forging the Broadsword”. It’s a multi-part quest that will require you to spend a lot of time in the Crucible, so get ready to take on your fellow guardians.

Step 1 – Orientation

Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifles. If you have access to Cold Denial, this is a great option to use for this step.

Step 2 – The Shape of Things to Come

Reach the rank of Heroic Valor. You can earn value in Quickplay, Rumble, and Mayhem playlists.

Step 3 – The candidate

Get 75 Double Play medals in Crucible. To get them you have to kill two players in quick succession.

Step 4 – Dead Is Dead

Defeat 150 opponents with the Pulse Rifle’s precision final hits. Again, the Cold Denial is your friend here.

Step 5 – Additional Instructions

Get 50 Arc, Solar, and Void kills in Crucible. These just have to be relevant final hits of weapons or abilities.

Step 6 – This Place is Death

Complete 25 Control, Survival, and Rumble matches. You just need to complete them, not earn them.

Step 7 – The constant

Complete 20 Daily Crucible Bounties. You can get bonuses from Shaxx in the tower.

Step 8 – The Beginning of the End

Reset your Valor rank. When you reach max rank of Valor in the Crucible, you can hover over the Crucible symbol in Destinations, you should see a prompt giving you a button to reset your rank.
