Hollywood star Russell Crowe was very generous during a recent trip to a restaurant, after he tipped the staff $900 bucks. Russell was taking time out from filming his new Robin Hood film in Wales, and treated his fellow stars to a posh meal at a nearby restaurant. The food and drink bill came to $360, and Crowe shocked staff by tipping more than double the bill amount. A staff member says, "The bar staff don't get tips. Our boss has shared it between all of us who worked that night so we will be taking home about $60."And Crowe also treated customers to an impromptu concert, belting out Bryan Adams' song "Summer Of '69" with help from former "ER" actor Scott Grimes and "X-Men" star Kevin Durand, who are also filming for the Ridley Scott movie.

POLICE TAKE MICHAEL JACKSON'S CAR

The Police investigating pop singer Michael Jackson's death looked into his medical treatment today, seeking to interview one of the stars doctors and seizing a car that they said may contain drugs or other evidence. California medical examiners began an autopsy for Jackson and police towed a BMW from the rented home "because it may contain medications or other evidence that may assist the coroner in determining the cause of death," police spokeswoman Karen Rayner said. She said the car belongs to one of Jackson's doctors whom police wanted to interview. Rayner said she did not know the doctor's identity and stressed the doctor was not under criminal investigation. The autopsy began this morning and was expected to last several hours. An official determination on cause of death was not expected for weeks or longer, until more sophisticated tests are completed.

FARAH FAWCETT DEAD AT AGE 62 OF CANCER

Television icon Farrah Fawcett, a symbol of the American pop culture in the 70s, has died. She was 62. The star had been suffering from anal cancer, which had recently spread to her liver. "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away," Fawcett's longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal, said in a statement released by Fawcett's publicist, Paul Bloch. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

CLUB THREATENS LAWSUIT OVER BEYONCE

Pop star Beyonce is being threatened with a $1 million lawsuit after pulling out of a New York City nightclub performance. Beyonce was going to perform at M2 on Saturday night, after the establishment's owner Joey Morrissey agreed to pay her $200,000 for the concert. Beyonce suddenly axed the appearance on Wednesday, with her press representatives claiming she was too busy preparing for her North American tour. Beyonce's PR instead offered an hour-long personal appearance from the star at the club, but Morrissey claims he has already spent $100,000 preparing for the singer's show. He tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they would'nt have time to do the kickoff party. "We sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They've been totally unwilling to agree to another show." Morrissey is now threatening to file a lawsuit against Beyonce over the cancellation, claiming the club has suffered a loss of it's reputation" in addition to his lost cash. He also adds, "We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables."

Pop star Miley Cyrus is "really happy" to be spending time with ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas after "reconnecting" with him following her sad breakup from Justin Gaston. She has turned to Jonas Brothers singer Nick, to help lift her spirits and the couple have been photographed on a jet ski off the coast of Tybee Island, near Savannah, Ga., where Cyrus is filming her new movie, "The Last Song." Miley is admitting she is glad to be on good terms with Jonas, and the two stars' families are even more delighted than her. She is also refusing to rule out a new romance with the singer sometime in their future. Cyrus says, "He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time. We've definitely reconnected. We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kind of kicking it and hanging out as much as we can." She also say's, "We both just kind of saw each other and kind of decided this whole thing (break-up) is kind of stupid. We were all over the separation. "I'm really happy to be back in their lives. And our families are super happy we're hanging out again."

Police launched an investigation after the "24" star was accused of assaulting Jack McCollough at the Met Costume Institute Gala after party on Tuesday evening. Sutherland reportedly flew into a rage with McCollough after he bumped into actress Brooke Shields at the hip SoHo nightspot SubMercer. The Hollywood star is said to have confronted the designer and told him to apologize to Brooke. He is then alleged to have head-butted McCollough in the face, injuring his nose. Sutherland is currently under a probation order in Los Angeles California relating to his 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

AIRLINE EMPLOYEE LASHES AT JOEL MADDEN

The airline employee who forced rocker Joel Madden to cover up his tattoos has been disciplined by his bosses, who are upset about the bad publicity the stunt has caused them. Madden was mad as hell when a British Airways employee refused to allow him to board a flight from Chicago to London on Monday, until he hid his body art from the other passengers. Madden posted a message online from the plane, expressing his outrage. He wrote on Twitter, "Was just told by a British air (sic) person I can't get on the plane till I cover my tatts. "I really actually am in shock." And airline bosses are equally confused, because there is nothing in the rulebook about tattoos. Confirming the unnamed employee is being reprimanded, a spokesperson tells TMZ.com, "We don't understand why the employee took it upon himself to enforce regulations that don't exist."

Golden Girl Star Bea Arthur, who died yesterday at the age of 86, was inducted into the television Academy Hall of Fame. The Broadway and television icon was approached in 2003 to join past inductees including Lucille Ball, Johnny Carson and Bill Cosby, but initially turned down the offer. She remembers, "I said, ‘So sorry, very nice of you, but I can’t possibly accept. There are so many talented people in the business.’ "When I hung up, I thought, ‘Why the hell did I do that?’ I had vaguely heard that George C. Scott had turned down the Academy Award, which I thought was kind of cool." TV Academy chairman and CEO John Shaffner adds, "It’s so important to hold up great examples of people who have done something exceptional. It not only reminds us of what can be accomplished but it inspires us." Arthur’s Hall of Fame ceremony was December 9th in Beverly Hills, California.

In the papers, Kaufman insists he doesn’t believe his client can "have a fair and impartial trial or hearing" before the judge.

MTV DENIES LAUREN CONRAD LEAVING HILLS

The heads of MTV are denying gossip reports that Lauren Conrad has left "The Hills," and are insisting she is still filming the hit television show. Media items today claimed Conrad's contract with the network expired last month, and she had come to the end of the hit series. Producers were putting together specially filmed clips of the 23-year-old to use in the new series, according to the New York Daily News. A source told the publication, "The producers would make Lauren react to a lot of potential scenarios, because they're not yet sure how the finale will play out with the other characters. "They would literally give her directions like, 'Now react to Stephanie Pratt being pregnant!' Lauren would just giggle and go for it. She also had to pretend to react to a fake storyline about Audrina and Brody hooking up." But bosses at the music network are dismissing the the rumors regarding Conrad's contract and filming schedule, saying: "We couldn't cut a show with Lauren's fake reactions."

The stars landlord filed papers on March 24th claiming that Washington was five months behind in his rent, amounting to a whooping total of $100,000. Washington and his wife Jenisa faced being evicted out of the $3.5 million property in Venice. But rather than being kicked out, the actor has now voluntarily moved out, according to RadarOnline.com. Washington and his wife were seen leaving the residence yesterday afternoon, and two housekeepers were spotted packing boxes while photographs were taken off of the walls. A source tells the website, "He's moving out today."

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is battling huge feelings of guilt as she prepares to film "Iron Man 2", because she has to drag her kids out of London for the shoot. The star, who plays Pepper Potts in the hit movie, will leave the British capital, where she lives with her husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin and her two children, on Monday to begin filming the sequel to the blockbuster picture in the United States. But the star is admitting she hates having to remove her children -- 4-year-old daughter Apple and 1-year-old son Moses -- from their normal surroundings. She says, "I'm feeling 'mother guilt' because my daughter is looking forward to going but my son says, 'I don't wanna leave my London house!' So I always feel pretty guilty about that. I try to say, 'We're gonna swim and it's going to be sunny!' I try to point out the positives." And the star is also insisting the children are often confused when she returns to work: "I barely ever do films; I'm with them almost all the time. But in a way it makes the transition harder. I feel like if I worked all the time, then they would be used to it. But when I'm always there and always doing the school runs and I'm always around and then I just disappear for 14 hours a day to film, it's hard."
